BIM Manager

We're looking for a BIM Manager to join our Natural Resources Team working on our Severn Trent water contract.  This role is a hybrid role where you'll be able to work from home as well as offices and sites as and when required. 

 

Location: Hybrid - work from home as well as sites and offices, you'll need to be able to travel to locations across the Midlands. 

Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know

 

What will you be responsibile for?

As a BIM Manager you'll be supporting the wastewater treatment site upgrade and enhancement projects ranging from circa £5m to £30m covering the Severn Trent water region. 

You'll oversea the delivery of all digital content on the project, coordinating a consistent digital delivery across all design and construction activities. You will utilise the Autodesk Construction Cloud environment as the CDE (Common Data Environment), managing the digital delivery and approval of digital content. You will take ownership of the quality of the digital content meets the requirements of the Information Exchange Plan and that models are federated, and clash checked.

Your day to day will include:

Monitoring the completion of BIM Gateway forms across all tenders to fulfil assurance procedures relating to early assessment of design team capability and internal resource considerations. Support  the design teams for them to develop accurate 3D designs in accordance with the scheme requirements. Helping  the design team to get the most out of the key design and authoring software used and smooth the way for delivery into federated models. Working with multiple stakeholders to manage and mitigate design risk through the use of federation tools for clash reviews, while forming a strong relationship with the Construction BIM Manager to enable a smooth handover of information for the project(s). Launching and managing BIM Project engagement meetings including setting up team processes via a BIM Implementation Plan (BIP) and Employers information requirements (EIR).

 

What are we looking for?


This role of BIM Manager is great for you if you have:

A working knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud as a CDE delivery platform including docs, model coordination and build. Ability to manage digital content from multiple data sources and drive high standards of digital delivery, consistently through the supply chain. A strong communicator and able to build positive working relationships internally and externally across all levels of management Confident in the use or thorough understanding of the key design and authoring software (3D Civils, Revit etc etc) Confident and assertive to enable challenges to be overcome and lead digital discussion with the Client and supply chain.
