Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a BIM Manager for a large, multi-disciplinary Hydropower construction project located in Canada. The selected candidate will interact daily with the project team as well as with the Client/Owner, and will be reporting directly to the Project Manager.
The BIM Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing BIM policies, procedures and strategies for the hydropower project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in BIM management within large-scale construction or engineering projects, with a strong understanding of BIM regulatory requirements and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Acting as the intermediary between designers, Client/Owner and architects so that the project remains efficient and effective Engaging with capture teams by providing BIM subject matter expertise.Assessing the current BIM state and maturity of digital and design on the project.Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the project requirements.Work with linear and vertical design team to develop BIM standards and specifications.Working closely with BIM coordinators, who are responsible for producing project information models.Ensuring that BIM execution plans are produced and maintained for the project.Training or upskilling colleagues in specific software programs.Ensuring staff have access to the tools and equipment they need.Driving the implementation of digital information plans and strategies.Working knowledge of ISO 19650 standards suite and related BIM standards.QualificationsMinimum requirements :
Bachelor’s degree or engineering technologist diploma;8 years of relevant experience or Technical Diploma;8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including BIM leadership in the hydropower, infrastructure or civil projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
10 years applicable experience in large multidisciplinary construction projects.Executing multi discipline design projects in different platforms as ProjectWise, Navisworks, OpenBIM solutions, 3DExperience, BIM360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).Extensive experience with Microstation, Civil3D, SolidWorks, Revit and Catia.Hydropower and infrastructure design/construction experience.Critical thinking to identify issues, present solutions and follow through to ensure completion.
The selected candidate will be required to work remotely with occasional office and site visits.
