Job Title: BIM Manager

Job Description

This position will provide CAD and BIM (Building Information Modeling) support services for the Federal Business Unit and for all Federal projects daily. Services include CAD/BIM user support, standards development and control, staff training, project set-up, standards reviews, 3D coordination reviews, and content creation using AutoCAD and Revit. You will work closely with team members to develop, update, and support 2D and 3D design software, standards, and processes. This role is available in the Boise, ID office or the WI office, with the possibility of remote work.

ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and familiarize yourself with all 2D and 3D design software applications used in the Federal Business Unit.Utilize Autodesk AutoCAD daily to provide project support, set-up, standards compliance, and content creation.Use Autodesk Revit for modeling support, content creation, and production support.Utilize Autodesk Navisworks for coordination support, model review, and simulations.Use Autodesk Recap to edit, view, and unify laser scan point clouds.Leverage Autodesk Inventor to assist teams with simplifying complex vendor equipment models.Maintain, develop, and update CAD/BIM standards and processes.Provide quality control for adherence to CAD/BIM standards.Assist project teams with enforcing CAD/BIM standards.Evaluate software and technology for future adoption.Provide daily management, coordination, and maintenance reviews of AutoCAD and Revit models.Conduct training for project teams on CAD/BIM standards and software applications.Set up, maintain, and run coordination/model reviews using Autodesk Navisworks Manage.Create and edit AutoCAD and Revit content in response to project needs.Assist project teams with model set-up and maintenance.Collaborate with internal design teams, external consultants, and contractors.Essential SkillsMinimum 2-year Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 8 years of experience using Autodesk AutoCAD for 2D and 3D drafting/modeling.Minimum of 8 years of experience using BIM processes and applications.Experience with Autodesk Revit Architecture, Structure, and MEP.Experience with Autodesk Navisworks Simulate and Manage.Proficiency in technical computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Bluebeam REVU PDF.Strong personal management skills, dedication, and organization.Ability to take initiative and respond to issues quickly.Ability to travel to customer and project sites as required.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Autodesk Re-Cap and similar point cloud editing applications.Experience with Bluebeam REVU.Experience with Bentley ProjectWise.Familiarity with third-party add-in applications/tools for Autodesk software.Work Environment

You will work with clients in the US and outside, including Hawaii and Guam. The team includes project managers, engineers, and junior drafters, and you will collaborate closely with another BIM Manager in the facilities group. The Federal Division specializes in energy engineering and design, including building retrofits, renewable energy, and energy security. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
