BIM Manager

The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world. 

Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

Purpose of the Role:

BIM (Building Information Modelling) managers act as collaborators between the client’s team, design team, contractor team and supply chain.

BIM Manager, will oversee the production of project information models which contain 3D visualisations that bring together data, drawings and schedules associated with the design and construction phase of a project.

Qualifications:

Tertiary Qualification of technical in either Architecture Design / Drafting / Engineering. Cert IV in Training & Assessment - desirable White Card

Experience:

Minimum 8+ years of experience operating in a similar based role working on similar type or project scale

Advanced knowledge ofMicrosoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Production of COBie data for Facilities management Monitoring of the BIM deliverables Skilled in Multidisciplinary BIM Models coordination   Strong knowledge of ISO BIM standards, LOD  Experience or knowledge in working on Synchro 4D Pro Experience or Knowledge in Tunnels Modelling in Revit Experience or Knowledge using dynamo for Revit using dynamo for Revit

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Management of the BIM Team Acting as the intermediary between designers, clients, and architects so that projects remain efficient and effective Working closely with BIM coordinators, who are responsible for producing project information models  Ensuring that BIM execution plans are produced and maintained for each project Supporting and auditing the project team and flagging non-compliances Training or upskilling colleagues in specific software programmes Overseeing the purchase of workstations so that hardware is sufficient and effective Producing monthly reports for senior managers, to identify and measure BIM implementation Keeping up to date with advancements in building technology Driving the implementation of digital information plans and strategies Leading meetings to identify project tasks and resolve issues Overseeing BIM budgets Supporting the career development, coaching, and mentoring of a team of staff Raising the profile of BIM within across departments and teams Adhering to the latest industry standards.
