Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for technical operations of the Bi-Metal milling and side setting areas for Power Tool Accessories. This function will directly be involved with safety, quality, and daily production tasks, in addition to providing advanced technical support as needed. The technical operations will include equipment setups for the area, tooling breakdowns, providing input and support for process improvements, and troubleshooting support. This role will also work closely with the manufacturing engineer and maintenance team as needed. A detailed understanding of the mechanics and machine components will be required, along with the ability to learn equipment software and programming. Maintaining a positive work environment and following appropriate safety procedures is mandatory.
Primary Tasks:
Understand all safety procedures and ensure compliance within the areaEnsure quality standards are maintained and understand containment procedures for parts that are OOSLead activities in the area and assist in meeting daily quality & production goalsComplete setups of equipment in accordance with production needsAssist in organizing MAE tooling and ensure availability of components for production use – i.e. clamps, cutting heads, rollers, etc.Understand equipment software and programming, as requiredEnsure compliance to procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organization within the area (5S).Understand FIFO concept and help organize material flow in and out the area.Read and understand all work instructions, operating procedures and documentation pertaining to milling and side settingAssist in troubleshooting root cause for issues within the areaAssist in the training of operators on applicable proceduresHelp achieve all other production, quality and safety related goalsQualificationsHigh school Diploma or GED from an accredited schoolMinimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturingPrevious experience in machine software navigationAbility to stand and be mobile for 8hrsProper Hand dexterityAbility to read and comprehend technical drawings, instructions and documentationGeneral computer knowledge and software navigation abilityAbility to multitaskAbility to lift (up to) 40lbs*Previous experience with equipment/tooling setups is preferred*Experience in CNC milling (or similar CNC process) is preferredAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
