BIM Specialist I (Fully remote)

The BIM Specialist I works closely with the VDC team to maximize efficiency, quality, as well as support/training to the BIM users/consumers where needed. This position is responsible for providing top notch production support, technical support, documentation, training, and development to all VDC staff as well as consumers of BIM data, Including engineering, Excellerate and the field.

Ideal candidates must be proficient in the use of Bluebeam Studio or other pdf document markup software, be proficient in the use, troubleshooting, and training of Revit, Navisworks and other Autodesk Suite software. Must have a strong knowledge of Revit family creation and modification. This position must have knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and/or BIM 360, experience in large model management and practices, and be able to support the VDC team where needed to ensure large project deliverables are met. A strong understanding of building design and construction practices is required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Associates Degree in a technology field

Experience: 4+ years of Revit experience and multi-discipline coordination

Travel: 10-20%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Schedule may vary and can include, but is not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides Revit, Navisworks, and other software support.Provides training and education to both BIM software users and consumers as needed.Content creation: Families including parametric, formula, nested and type catalogs data.Assists in the research and development, implementation, and training of company BIM standards and programs, including creation and management of content as directed, working closely with both the users and consumers of various BIM software.Manages and trains various software tools and add-ins.Provides specialized support in the creation of schedules and other data imported/exported in various BIM software.Works with specialists in various other software to ensure alignment across platforms.Researches and develops tools, add-ins, scripts, automations, and workflows as assigned.Provides feedback for individual areas, including technology improvements, standards, and workflow improvements.Assists in the modeling and detailing of projects if needed.Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
