Bindery Production Supervisor
Job Title: Bindery Production Supervisor Location: Clarksville, TN Shift: Night Shift  (10-12 hrs)   Jostens is looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our Finishing Production Team!  Our Bindery Supervisor directs and coordinates assigned Bindery departmental operations within the plant, which may include Repair Table/Handwork and Bundle Racks.  Responsibilities include meeting plant objectives for quality, quantity, cost and delivery.  The individual controls the area’s schedule, quality, and allocation of materials, personnel and equipment.  He/she is responsible for the planning and implementation of the safety program for the area, and is responsible for the training of employees in his/her area to include Hazardous Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and emergency spill response procedures, if appropriate.  This Supervisor coordinates production and performance goals, organizes work, and maintains a productive and motivational climate; determines priority of jobs and ensures preventive Maintenance on equipment.
 
Incumbents support and partner with continuous improvement engineers to drive process improvement and safety goals to full maximization.   Qualifications: Required: BA degree in Business, Manufacturing, and/or related field, or valid equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in Production operations & supervision a must. Valid Supervisor experience managing a team & department. Has demonstrated the ability to lead, train and develop people in a production environment as a supervisor. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent computer skills in MS Office Suite, in particular Excel Spreadsheets. Has served as an effective role model, either internally or externally. Cross-functional communication experience. Strong Safety background and experience developing and executing safety plans. Must be able to work a Night Shift (10 - 12 hrs Crewing) Preferred: Experience in “made to order” business/manufacturing. Bindery Printing experience (Yearbook and/or Commercial). Basic knowledge of 5S methodologies and Lean Manufacturing.
