We are looking for a passionate and experienced Scientist to join our Assay Development team within Bioanalytical Sciences at CSL Melbourne for a 12 month fixed-term position. You will work with a team of scientists developing novel protein-based therapeutics. You will provide scientific and technical expertise to help deliver project goals, engage with stakeholders and contribute to innovations in analytical development.

 Your Responsibilities:

Develop analytical assays to support the characterisation of protein interactions (eg ELISAs, enzymatic assays, biolayer interferometry).Complete analytical development activities (including experimental design, screening, optimisation, robustness testing, etc.).Perform protein characterisation activities such as ELISAs, enzymatic assays, luciferase-based assays, biolayer interferometry, SDS-PAGE.Perform detailed analyses of experiments plus record-keeping and report-writing activities.Provide scientific and technical guidance to stakeholders in Bioprocess Development.

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in a relevant discipline; post-graduate degree preferred3+ years of experience in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or a related field.Expertise in protein chemistry (hands-on knowledge of ELISAs, enzyme kinetics, chemical equilibria and/or measurement of protein-binding affinities will be especially well-regarded).Expertise in developing and performing analytical assays.Strong organisational and communication skillsHigh attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
