Apply now for the position of Biochemist 2 in Technical Operations, and you will support the manufacture and improvement of our immunoassay diagnostic products at our world class manufacturing facility that deliver diagnostic products to millions of patients globally.

This position includes the handling of all types of materials, including hazardous and DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) controlled materials.

This position is based at our Walpole, MA site and is a full-time onsite position.

Your role:

You will work in the laboratory investigating technical issues associated with immunoassay products, responding to changing priorities to meet business demands.You will support and lead multiple investigations for change projects while meeting business timelines.You will produce compliant documents associated with investigations, technical studies, verification/validation activities, and CAPAs.You will support cost saving measures that can be implemented with no impact to product quality and supply.You will utilize your scientific and technical knowledge to lead cross functional teams in troubleshooting, root cause investigations and resolving technical issues.You will design experiments, interpret data, present conclusions and recommend next steps to key stakeholders.Must pass a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) background check.

Your expertise:

BS in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or other related science degrees. Advanced degree preferred.3+ years job related experience (may include time in an advanced degree)Immunology, Protein chemistry, chemiluminescent technology in diagnostics, immunoassay, and medical device.  Chromatography knowledge a plusExperience with automated immunoassay analyzers and/or ELISA and chemiluminescent technologyStrong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Strong PC skills required (MS Office 365 software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
