Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in basic science or equivalent and 2 years of related experience or Master’s degree in basic science or related field and no experience required.
Job Summary
Conducts variety of routine and non-routine research assignments and experiments in a high containment facility including Biosafety Levels 3 or 4.
Job Duties
Performs, coordinates, and conducts standard research experiments following general technical instructions. Performs functions of research projects utilizing bio-hazardous substances. Performs technical services such as tissue sampling, blood draws, anesthesia, and injections. Makes modifications to research techniques as required by investigator. Follows specific protocols. Conducts quality control measures for assigned project operations. Contributes to scientific analysis and projects. Orders and maintains lab inventory of supplies, animals, and equipment. Maintains records of all tests performed and data collected, compiles, and tabulates data, provides analysis of results, and engages in. Maintains knowledge of biohazard operationsMarginal or Periodic Functions
Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure. Performs related duties as required.
Salary Range
Actual salary commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm and as needed on occasion.
