**Bioinformatics Analyst** Science & Research south san francisco, CA, US Pay Rate Low: 50 | Pay Rate High: 65 + Added - 05/02/2025 Apply for Job We are looking for a highly motivated, independent, and creative **Bioinformatics Analyst** to join a dynamic and collaborative team in the field of computational research. An individual in this position will support the analysis of sequencing data from pre-clinical studies with a focus on identifying mechanisms of action and potential biomarkers. **Pay Rate:** $50-$65/hr **Responsibilities:** + Conduct comprehensive analysis of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data, including bulk RNA-seq and single-cell genomic studies. + Serve as an analyst on NGS projects, progressing from data exploration and normalization to differential gene expression and pathway analysis. + Produce insightful data visualizations and present findings to team members in an accessible, compelling format. + Enhance existing code to generate targeted plots and analyses from project data or perform individual study analyses as needed. **Required Skills and Qualifications:** + PhD in bioinformatics, genomics, computational biology, or a closely related field. + Strong computational and statistical analysis skills, with proficiency in Linux-based servers. + Advanced expertise in with high level scripting language like Python or R + Experience handling large datasets, including performing batch effect detection, normalization, and adjusting for confounders and covariates. + Experience with analysis of genomic and/or epigenomic NGS data _If you are passionate about applying computational methods to solve real-world problems in immunology and drug discovery, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!_ We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
