In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Develops and maintains pipelines for functional genomics applications.
+ Provides data analysis support for product development and external collaborations
+ Works closely with both internal and external R&D scientists to support their research activities and support large commercial opportunities.
+ Participates in brainstorming sessions and contributes ideas in technology, algorithms, and products
+ Introduce new techniques into the research group which have not previously been used at IDT.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field with 2+ years relevant work experience required
+ Previous experience in NGS required
+ Ability to design and perform experiments with minimal to moderate supervision required
+ Programming and data analysis experience in a Linux/Unix environment required
+ Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Master’s degree OR PhD (in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related field)
+ Knowledge of synthetic biology (e.g. cloning) and protein engineering workflows preferred
The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $110,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
