We have an excellent career opportunity for a **Bioinformatics Integration Specialist** to join our growing team **.** This is a US remote based position. **Position Summary:** The Bioinformatics Integration Specialist is a customer-facing role that will focus on technical integration of servers, middleware, and third- party integrations such as LIMS or annotation services and will outline customer requirements for report generation and other integrations such as data manipulation to create custom filetypes. These requirements will be returned to the development team and then integrated on-site by the Associate Integration Specialist. This role will internalize key customer feedback and competitive market information, as well as maintaining documentation of all customer complaints and feedback utilizing PGDx’s quality management system. In addition, this role will work in tandem with the Software Development & Analysis team to create and implement future customer-facing solutions. This includes Linux, Bioinformatic, and other software-based engineering and troubleshooting. Must work well in a matrixed organization and develops productive relationships with the internal teams, sales organization, and customers, to ensure PGDx supports and delivers competitive, customer driven products for precision medicine and oncology. **Candidates given best consideration will have the following qualifications:** + Extensive bioinformatics and Linux experience, with at least 2 years in Technical Service or Field Service highly desirable. + Comprehensive technical knowledge and understanding of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) products for all market segments. + Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills required. + Experience working in a clinical or regulatory environment. + Must be a strong team player and effectively interface with other internal departments included Development, Sales, Marketing and Finance. + Ability to follow business processes and give feedback. + Ability to work both independently and in a structured work environment. + Ability and willingness to travel a couple of times annually within the US and on limited occasion, internationally. **Essential Job Responsibilities:** + Technical email and phone support for PGDx solutions for all customers. + Involvement in and responsibility for installation, customer training, education and/or troubleshooting on PGDx solutions, including consumables, software and associated hardware, instrumentation, and applications in all markets. Some repair work may be required. + Gather, and report back to the software development team, requirements for custom solutions, eg: LIMS integration output files, annotation upload files, formatting, etc. + Implement custom solutions created by the software team at the customer’s site and be responsible for troubleshooting any issues with middleware. + Involvement in creating new products through a combination of Linux and bioinformatic software solutions. + Contribute to and manage an internal knowledge base, leveraging internal subject matter experts to provide more streamlined support to Customer Service and Support. + Create and maintain customer facing technical documentation. + Manage internal voice of customer requests from submission to completion. + Contribute to achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance. + Develop and maintain highest possible level of technical knowledge. + Provide second-tier support for Customer Service and Support by performing trainings, seminars, and troubleshooting for internal and external customers. + Maintain and develop positive relationships with customers. + Assist in the development and maintenance of reference customers. + Actively promote PGDx products and assist in exceeding revenue targets. + Utilize all available tools such as relevant databases to input information that will increase effectiveness. + Give active feedback to Sales, Marketing, Development, and your team/management + Provide international and interstate support when required. + Accurate and timely documentation of customer interactions in PGDx’s customer relationship management system. **Education** + Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science with relevant experience required. + PhD is preferred. **Application Window open through:** 03/06/2025 **Pay Range:** $100k-$120k annually (USD) All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. **Benefits:** Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
