Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Biologics Development Technician to join our dynamic Biologics Development team. In this critical role, you will support routine lab operations across our Bioseparation and Cell Culture teams. The ideal candidate will assist with solution preparation, including buffer and media formulation, and ensure consistent execution of lab protocols aligned with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
This is a hands-on opportunity for candidates looking to begin or build a career in biologics, biotechnology, or biopharmaceutical development, with strong potential for growth and skill development.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare buffer solutions for downstream purification processes with accuracy and attention to detail.Assist in media preparation and solution formulation for CHO cell culture operations.Support daily lab operations, including equipment cleaning, maintenance, and workspace organization.Conduct cleaning and sanitization of tools and materials used in solution prep to maintain sterile and compliant conditions.Accurately document procedures, results, and observations in lab notebooks and electronic systems in compliance with GLP and company SOPs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot processes and suggest improvements in lab workflows and efficiencies.Participate in ongoing training sessions and stay informed of current safety and compliance guidelines.
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.Preferred Skills & ExperienceFamiliarity with cell culture techniques and handling of biological materials.Experience with media preparation, buffer formulation, or general laboratory techniques.Basic understanding of biological lab equipment and procedures.Strong documentation and organizational skills.Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions with a high level of accuracy.Comfortable working in a regulated laboratory environment with attention to cleanliness and safety.Top Skills:Cell CultureBiology / BiochemistryMedia & Buffer PreparationLaboratory Cleaning & MaintenanceGLP Compliance
Work Environment:Laboratory setting; may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of light materials.Use of PPE and adherence to sterile techniques is required.Exposure to biological materials and chemicals is expected; training and safety measures are in place.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
