Pursue a career in humankindness and put your specialized skills to work by joining our in-house Clinical Engineering team today! As our Biomedical Technician (BMET) at CHI St. Alexius in Bismarck, North Dakota, a part of the CommonSpirit Health network, you’ll support patient care by assuring important medical equipment is working properly and accurately. This role allows for health care teams to confidently leverage diagnostic equipment when needed because of the work you do through a combination of Preventative Maintenance (PM) and equipment repairs.

Performs significant preventative maintenance/safety tests/calibration for equipment.Provides equipment repair throughout responsible area.Completes all necessary record keeping for work orders received and/or finished.Assists in the ordering of part and supplies necessary for servicing of equipment.Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues.

CHI St. Alexius Health is the largest healthcare delivery system in central and western North Dakota.  The system comprises a 287 bed, Level II trauma hospital in Bismarck, and critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, and Williston, in addition to numerous clinics and outpatient services throughout the region. Our Clinical Engineering team in Bismarck manages 9,000+ medical equipment assets across 3 hospitals and several clinics. Our focus is on providing cost effective in-house support across all modalities including: general patient care equipment, neonatal and adult intensive care, dialysis, radiology, surgical, anesthesia and many others. 


Qualifications
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical, related IT, or Mechanical Engineering or related field, equivalent military education, graduate of technical program, or equivalent training validated through training certificates, or 1 year of equivalent experience. Valid Driver's License required
