Summary: Goldbelt Frontier is looking for a Biomedical Equipment Technician IV. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Research for maintenance issues and projects, and provide reports, briefings, white papers, and articles. Research all available information and data relative to assigned projects and maintenance-centric issues resulting from maintenance operations, business practices, and regulatory requirements. Provide reports, briefings, white papers, and articles for topics. Possess attention to detail on Reporting Conduct maintenance research and analysis for assigned issues and projects and provide relevant recommendations. Assist the NMP Chief when supporting the command maintenance discipline program and maintenance assistance and instruction team. Research relevant information sources including publications and databases, perform analysis of the information and construct recommendations, briefings, white papers, and articles. Develop and lead medical maintenance projects to research, analyze, and provide professional, relevant, logical, and timely medical maintenance operations and maintenance management process recommendations to the chief NMP. Research relevant information sources including publications and databases, perform analysis of the information and construct recommendations, briefings, white papers, and articles. Evaluate and provide recommendations for Medical Materiel Quality Control Messages. Evaluate manufacturer field change orders, recalls, the Emergency Care Research Institute (ECRI), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for health device alerts for relevance to AMEDD inventories with the exclusion of medical supplies and pharmaceutical product alerts. Research manufacturer's website, FDA, ECRI, and other relevant information sources and databases perform analysis of the information and provide alert recommendations. Support the medical maintenance community by tracking MMQC compliance at all owning units. Utilize application resources and tracking techniques to ensure compliance with alerts and recalls and report relevant information on a continuous basis. Maintain visibility of repair for sustainment capabilities. Maintaining an understanding of the capability of the Combat Support Hospital (CSH), Medical Logistics Company (MLC), maintainer in the Brigade Combat Team (BCT), and other Army units with medical maintenance capability, of medical devices. Develop and integrate policies, programs, and procedures that support sustained Army medical equipment maintenance. Travel estimated at 15% Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to speak, read, and understand English. Excellent communications skills, both verbally and in writing. Professional experience in dealing with clients and/or customer service. Familiar with the biomedical maintenance field and its concepts, practices, and procedures. Minimum Qualifications: As a minimum, BMETs shall be a graduate of the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Equipment Repairers Course or Certified through the International Certification Commission (CBET) or have at least earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Medical Equipment Technology. Minimum 12 years of directly related experience. Maintenance actions data entry experience. Ability to obtain and possess a CACard. Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a biomedical technician at the location of position. Experience performing biomedical equipment maintenance and repair on various types of military medical equipment. Experience performing maintenance actions on medical equipment Sets that have returned from deployments and/or have been in long-term storage facilities. Experience performing technical inspections of new, used, or reconditioned Army medical equipment. The annual salary range for this position is $88,000 - $95,00000.
