SUMMARY
The Biorepository Inventory Manager is responsible for 24/7 direct oversight and management of ambient, refrigerated, frozen and cryopreserved bio-specimens inventory. This position manages the biorepository inventory process, including the tracking and pulling of boxes for CTSM batching and shipping activities. The Biorepository Inventory Manager will be part of an 24/7 On Call rotation, responding to any freezer emergency call.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages all aspects of the biorepository inventory, including storage, tracking and distributionManages the biorepository equipment, ensuring instruments, freezers and refrigerators are functioning properly, taking corrective action when necessary Lead the creation and maintenance of the, specimen storage protocols and SOP’s, to ensure all relevant ethical, legal and regulatory standards are being adhered toResponsible for monitoring Viewpoint to ensure the integrity of all environmental factors, freezer and refrigerated unitsParticipates in all quality related activities, including compliance audits, rectifying non-compliance issues through root cause analysisResponsible for the creation and maintenance of all biorepository SOP’s including, freezer maintenance, inventory review, sample handling and use etiquetteAssumes full responsibility of the implementation and maintenance of an efficient inventory management system, ensuring integrity & accuracyOversees biorepository services reporting to ensure all inventory is viewable in the LIMS systemAssumes full responsibility in ensuring freezers are fully configured for all specimen container types and sizesAssumes full responsibility in ensuring Freezerworks is maintained “real-time” to avoid the misplacement of specimensTimely tracks and pulls specimen boxes and samples for CTSM batching and shipping activitiesAssumes full responsibility in ensuring backup freezers are in good working conditionSupports Quality Engineer in ensuring equipment service contractors are maintaining the quality and integrity of the samplesAssumes full responsibility in maintenance checks, basic troubleshooting of equipment and completes necessary documentation, according to the SOPResponsible for monitoring LN2 levels to ensure appropriate temperature and liquid level readingsEscalates to leadership on equipment performance and calibration issuesParticipates in training of new and existing CTSM technicians, the safe and proper way to handle specimens, the chain of custody and document processingAssumes full responsibility in the on call rotation (day and overnight)Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in Laboratory Science, Business or related fieldOR Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Science, Business or related field plus at least 1 year of inventory management or laboratory experienceOR 3+ years of inventory management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with compliance to regulatory standards (FDA, CAP, HIPPA etc)1+ years’ experience in Biorepository inventory control1+ years’ experience in trouble shooting and maintaining biorepository equipmentDetail oriented focusing on quality and complianceEDUCATION:

14624The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
