The Biostatistician provides statistical analysis services using designated software and written summaries of data analysis and results to support scholarly activity projects for residents, fellows, and faculty members.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Analyze data for scholarly activity projects using designated statistical software
+ Create written data analysis and results sections for scientific presentations and publications
+ Attend meetings in support of scholarly activity project completion
+ Perform other duties as designated by the Senior Network Director, GME Data Management and Outcomes Assessment
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting for up to 6 hours per day, 1 hour at a time. Standing for 1 hour or more per day and walking for up to 1 hour per day. Requires frequent fingering, handling and occasional twisting and turning. Also requires occasional stooping, bending and reaching above shoulders/head. Requires occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Seeing as it relates to general vision and visual monotony. Hearing as it relates to general auditory functioning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Masters degree in biostatistics, research/experimental psychology, public health, or similar field is required.
+ Experience using SPSS and/or Stata, sample size programs (e.g., PASS, G*Power) and other statistical analysis software (e.g., TreeAge) is required.
+ Ongoing experience or training in quantitative research projects within relevant field of expertise, including manuscript writing, is required.
+ Excellent organizational, multitasking, and project management skills, given the volume of scholarly activity within GME, is required.
+ Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook programs is required.
