Job Title: Biostatistician

Location: San Diego

The Biostatistician is responsible for supporting the development of statistical programs, performing analyses, and ensuring CRF and database design meet analysis needs. Additionally, this role involves providing statistical support across various departments, writing statistical analysis plans, and maintaining expertise in current statistical techniques. 

What You Can Expect:

Assist in the development of statistical programs and perform statistical analyses and sample size calculations. Collaborate with project team members in Clinical Affairs to ensure CRF and database design meets analysis needs. Provide ad-hoc and planned statistical analyses and reports to monitor trial progression. Develop statistical programs to perform statistical analysis and present results. Work with SAS programmers and clinical data management teams to ensure appropriate data analysis and presentation. Provide input on Biostatistical and Data Management SOPs and work instructions and recommend continuous process improvement ideas. Write statistical analysis plans (SAPs) and develop table/listing/graph shells for statistical analyses and reports. Offer statistical support to other departments (e.g., R&D, QA, QC, Marketing, Manufacturing) on statistical issues including experimental design, sample size, statistical analysis, and result interpretation. Maintain expertise in current statistical analysis techniques and actively learn new techniques.

What We Expect:

Previous working knowledge of CRF and database development, including attribute assignment and logic checking. Advanced knowledge of statistical software packages such as SAS, JMP, or R. Advanced knowledge of applied statistical methods for clinical trials. Knowledge of applied statistical methods for design of experiments and quality control. Minimum MS in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field. Experience in technical writing.
