Summary of Job Duties:A Biostatistician position is available in the in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (https://biochemistry.uams.edu/) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) to provide bioinformatics analysis for the IDeA National Resource for Quantitative Proteomics. Applicant will work with a team of bioinformaticians to analyze proteomics data sets and prepare results packages for users of the national resource.
Qualifications:Master's Degree PLUS one (1) year of relevant experience with data analysis.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent writing skills and ability to present data to groups of researchers in lectures and lab meetings.Ability to work independently and to analyze data and discuss results with other lab personnel and the PI. Ability to maintain and use literature data bases, skills to learn new knowledge.Ability to develop new bioinformatics techniques.
