Overview

Provide subject matter expertise in conducting statistical analysis for medical research. Must be able to perform statistical tests using standardized statistical software and be able to perform power analysis. Must assist with the development of medical research protocols that will yield valid statistical and meaningful results. 

Responsibilities

Collect de-identified research data and structure it for a range of statistical analysis tools and tests. Enter structured research data into approved statistical analysis tools, including Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and/or Statistical Analysis System (SAS) software. Conduct specific statistical tests, including t-tests, one- and two-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and other recognized statistical methods to compare specific data sets for statistical significance. Provide statistical subject matter expertise to the Lab Chief. Conduct literature reviews. Conduct power analysis. Assist with raw data organization. Perform statistical tests using standardized statistical software (i.e., SAS and/or SPSS). Complete statistical analysis with references and narrative summary and generate descriptive statistics to include the use of charts and graphs. Conduct comparative tests between groups of data. Generate summary write-ups, suitable for journal publication, of data results and findings, using standardized formatting, such as APA.  Contribute to the authoring of scientific presentations and peer-reviewed journal articles.

Qualifications

Requires bachelor’s degree in a medical or medically related scientific domain, and math and statistics expert knowledge.  5-7 years of SAS and/or SPSS software experience.

Basic Compensation: $62.50 - $67.31 per hour

The rate offered within this range will be based on the selected candidates’ skills, experience, education, market data, and internal parity. DLH may offer other rewards that may include performance incentives and program-specific awards.  An applicant’s salary history will not be used to determine compensation.
