Purpose:
The Blackline System Analyst is responsible for eliciting, analyzing and documenting requirements related to financial systems and processes. In addition, this role may also participate in testing, training and roll-out of changes to financial systems. The Business System Analyst will also act as a primary owner for the Blackline reconciliation and close management tool, providing governance and oversight of the application and ensure adherence to architectural design, data management, certification controls and risk management of the company’s balance sheet exposure.Accountabilities:

Participate in business requirement sessions with stakeholders, developing comprehensive documentation that aligns with business needs and aligns with best practices to ensure consistency in standards and executionTranslates business requirements into functional specifications, working in tandem with IT resources to develop technical solutionsCollaborates with delivery team resources, assisting with test plan creation, and user acceptance testing (as needed) to ensure quality standards are metProvides support for incident/defect management for BAU and/or project deliveriesAct as the primary system owner for the BlackLine reconciliation tool and collaborate with the BlackLine System Administrator to ensure the application is operating efficiently across the organization.Manages and enforces business policies related to reconciliations and utilize the close management and variance analysis tool set to monitor and predict issues or areas for concern.Liaison with IT on user issues, application upgrades, system maintenance and projects as it relates to BlackLine and other integrations to/from the tool.Collaborate with internal and external business partners to identify inefficient processes and drive the implementation of solutions that deliver improved efficiencies and processes using technology as an enabler.Stay abreast of new functionality becoming available and drive the deployment of feature releasesOutcomes
