Job Description:
The Multi-Strategy Investing platform (“MSI”) was launched in 2011 and is the team's flagship commingled fund. MSI’s mandate is flexible across the capital structure – investing in equities, preferreds, converts, bonds, loans and structured investments. The team can execute on both private and public opportunities across geographies or industries.
The MSI team is able to leverage BXMA’s 100+ hedge fund manager relationships, the broader Blackstone network (including Real Estate, Private Equity, Credit, and Strategic Partners) and the team’s direct relationships to source attractive investment opportunities.
Key Attributes:
Willingness and ability to develop extensive, in-depth knowledge of product functions and ability to operate independently in handling transactions.
Strong relationship and communication skills to effectively collaborate across many different groups and functions, including Global Sales, Legal and Compliance, Operations and Accounting.
Ability to manage projects, see and address process gaps and operate in a dynamic environment.
Specific Day-to-Day Activities May Include:
Create preparation materials for and engage clients in regular reporting calls
Address client questions regarding portfolio or platform, including through the creation of responsive content
Create marketing materials for client and prospective clients
Oversee and check accuracy of information maintained by the Client Service Analytics group in standardized marketing materials
Develop processes to facilitate communications between the MSI team and other groups across the firm
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate should have:
7+ years of relatable work experience
Experience working for or with hedge funds or alternative investments
Strong knowledge of financial markets, alternative strategies and investment types
Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and ideas
Capability to work at a high level in coordination with other team members
Ability to manage and execute multiple projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong Microsoft Office experience, emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel
Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record desired; advanced degree or CFA a plus

Expected annual base salary range:
$165,000 - $225,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
