Description: Follow standard methods, prescribed procedures, detailed oral or written instructions to remove nicks, scratches, pits, weld seams, other surface imperfections, etc., throughout the various stages of rotor blade or titanium spar formation.
Select the appropriate abrasive hand or power tool; use files, scrapers, polishers, saws, routers, etc.; sand, buff, blend, deburr, flush and polish work piece in order to remove defects and obtain finish specified by product work instructions and/or specification.
Cut and dress wheel using previously prepared dressing spar to determine proper wheel contour.
Exercise care to avoid excessive removal of stock.
Check parts visually to insure proper finish; check dimensions where required with specified calibrated gages and templates.
Move spar and/or blade around area; perform other related duties as directed.
Perform operator checklist as required.
Contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator required upkeep.
Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.
Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.
Refer only unusual conditions to Working Leader or supervisor.
Basic Qualifications:
3-6 Months of Experience
Requires knowledge of decimals and fractions and ability to read ordinary drawings.
Use calibrated micrometer, calipers, templates, scale and fixed gages.
Familiar with the use of files, scrapers, hand or power operated buffers and polishers.
Desired Skills:
Must maintain any current certification as required.
Requires the use of some judgment to use hand or power tools to remove imperfections and maintain quality standards.
Duties are performed in accordance with prescribed procedures, detailed instructions and require the exercise of care.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
