In accordance with SOP's and customer's specifications, stage, weigh, and record all batch ingredientsMix and blend wet/dry ingredients in accordance with product mix/batch sheet specificationsRecord all ingredient usage using location ERP systemCollect pre-blend and final product samples as required. Perform all required batch analytical testingReport any product deviations to the department supervisorFollow all allergen protocolsAbility to follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) in detail without deviationOperate tanks, pumps and blend operations equipmentPerform equipment clean-up, CIP/SIP operationsPerform routine equipment adjustmentsSafe operation of a lift truckAccurately and neatly complete batch records, system data entry and documentationPerform all department environmental controlsPerform product reclaim and rework operations in accordance with reclaim guidelinesSupport internal and external auditsFollow all established occupational health and safety proceduresFollow all established GMP's and Food Safety requirementsEffective coordination and cooperation with other departmentsPerform good housekeeping within established housekeeping guidelinesComply with federal, state and local dairy food regulationsAdhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics, actively apply the Saputo Company Values and Workplace Climate PolicyWork together as a teamOther duties as required by management

You are best suited for the role if you…

High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of (2) two years of demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing, dairy food manufacturing experience preferred.Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications is a plus, but not requiredWorking understanding of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, QA/QC, CQP, QAP, HACCP, SOP, 5S, GMP, etc.)Strong math skillsSoftware skills to include MS Office, Excel, and ERP software, SAP preferredLife truck certification or the ability to operate and understand equipment controls, touch panels and mechanical operationsSuccessful completion of a background checkStrong verbal and written communication skillsGood attendance is a must

Physical Demands

Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shiftWorking with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment and following approved chemical handling proceduresPhysical lifting up to 50-lbs frequently throughout the shiftShift flexibility. This is a hands-on role for a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Our blend operators are assigned to a team in support of dairy operations. This can either be rotating shifts, days, swing, or night shift and weekends. Work days and shifts may change to help cover vacations/absences, during plant downtime or related events such as audits

Hourly Rate : Starting at $26.01 with increases up to $29.01
