This is a position with WM Technologies, LLC and affiliate of SPX Enterprises, LLC, which manufactures and sells Weil-McLain<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">®  branded products. Weil-McLain<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">® is a leading North American brand of hydronic comfort heating systems for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings since 1881. 

 

SUMMARY

Assemble appropriate castings to make appropriate block assembly through the use of air tools, lifting devices, and calibrated tools.  Perform hydro tests on block assemblies. Validate correct assembly of Block. Labels and documents appropriate data

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Must understand and identify trends. Must be able to discern visual details/differences (i.e. small leaks). Use of Hearing protection required Usual contact is with individuals or small teams.

 

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE

H.S. Diploma or GED May require 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.

 

SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES, & ABILITIES:

Operate air tools, lifting devices, and calibrated tools. Must be able to follow standardize work. Follows standard operating procedures and work instructions. Does not deviate from detailed directions given by supervisor and managers Contact is routine and primarily with employees in the immediate work unit and/or members of the public in a highly structured situation.  Ability to follow standardized work instructions. Ability to use lifting devices to move castings and block assemblies (50 lbs to 1100Lbs). Ability to track data and document appropriately.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Strenuous (Often lifts more then 50 pounds) Perform repetitive lifting (25-50 Lbs) required.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT Moderate risk (Requires special mitigating precautions and/or personal protective equipment or due to potential risk with machinery or chemicals)
