Position Description
Responsible for technical and regulatory oversight including AABB and CAP checklists, document control of policy and procedures, material management functions, review of quality control records, proficiency testing results to include review and investigation documentation. Conduct instrument and procedure evaluation and implementation to include workflow and design recommendations. Responsible for management of all blood products, including ordering, maintaining adequate inventory and component prep functions.
Position Requirements
Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology, or Medical Laboratory Technology. Technology plus Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology, National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel, Inc., American Medical Technologists, American Association of Bioanalysts, or U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/ Department of Health, Education, and Welfare; and two years’ experience in a clinical laboratory.
