With a goal of becoming the most trusted name in premium proteins, we create products for consumers and for retail and foodservice customers around the globe, while changing the way animals are raised for food. **Summary** The essential purpose of this position is to schedule and perform blood, salmonella & water test procedures on breeders and pullets according to Perdue and NPIP testing requirements. **Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities** + Must be able to carry a catching pen weighing up to 40 lbs and handle live birds weighing up to 10 lbs for testing purposes. Vehicle & equipment must be cleaned daily and biosecurity procedures followed at all times. + Extract blood samples from live birds following NPIP standards. Prepare serum and deliver to appropriate locations. + Comply and follow company requirements regarding biosecurity, food safety and poultry welfare programs and policies at all times. + Manage company vehicle and operate in a safe manner complying with all Perdue, state and federal requirements/policies and use only for work related purposes. + Maintain safe working environment. + Perform other tasks as required and needed by operations. **Minimum Education** High school or equivalent. **Experience Requirements** **Experience Preferred** Reading, writing and math skills **Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements** + May need to move equipment or supplies weighing up to 40 lbs from one place to another. + Exposure to dusty, odorous environments. + Must be able to navigate uneven terrain and climb stairs. + Exposure to outdoor elements to include extreme heat, cold and inclement weather with both ambient and 100% humidity. + Must be able to operate a vehicle for more than 4 hours per day. + May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food and processing facility. + Must wear and use personal protective equipment required for the job as directed by the Company. _Perdue Farms, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
