What’s the role?

You will join as a research analyst researching the energy transition in a selection of markets across the globe. The research will cover a broad range of qualitative and quantitative indicators related to decarbonization of power and transport sector. Indicators spam from policy mechanisms put in place by government, to the economic and operational conditions that make a market attractive to investors. Together these indicators will allow you to acquire a thorough understanding of each market, which you will summarize in country overviews. As part of your work in the Climatescope project, you will also contribute in bringing together research on 140 markets globally produced by analysts in 2025 to deliver the various products and analysis planned for this year’s release in 4Q.

We will trust you to:

Become an expert on the dynamics that drive the energy transition globally and in particular in your focus countries.Research, analyze and write about the latest developments in your focus countries, including policy developments, economic trends, clean energy deployment, analysis on decarbonization of the power, transport and buildings sectors, and other relevant topics.Produce research templates, policy records and country overviews for your focus markets in English.Explain interesting trends on your research to your colleagues and clients via email, telephone and in-person meetings.

You need to have:

Intellectual curiosity, interest in and enthusiasm for the energy transition; a desire to become an expert on the particular challenges and opportunities of operating in the clean energy sector. Good research and communication skills: research quantitative and qualitative data, sense of prioritization, good writing skills.Fluency in English and advanced Spanish.Good time management skills, initiative and ability to work on multiple tasks at onceA Bachelor’s degree in policy, economics, finance, natural sciences or engineering.Ability to think critically and develop thoughtful opinions by cutting through the noise of data, finding key patterns, applying judgment to the claims of energy sector stakeholders and asking insightful questions.Ability to distill and communicate complex topics to non-specialist audiences.

 We’d love to see:

Candidates with previous experience in relevant areas, such as organizations formulating or analyzing energy policy, or focusing on energy sector trends in emerging markets.A graduate degree in subjects related to the energy transition.Proficiency in other languages, especially French.
