Sodexo’s growing Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Division is seeking solution-oriented candidates who excel at cybersecurity to take on the role of BMET Cybersecurity Specialist to support services for MLK Community Healthcare located in Los Angeles, CA.

Working in Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) for Sodexo, you will partner with our Healthcare clients to manage their clinical technology needs. SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Leads the technical activities associated with the delivery of a medical device cybersecurity program, such as collection of cybersecurity data elements in the asset inventory, implementation of cybersecurity controls, and execution of critical cybersecurity fixes. Leads the technical analysis of emerging cybersecurity threats to determine impact to any devices in the asset inventory. Advises on technical elements of cybersecurity strategy, including recommendations for improvement. Supports the collection of metrics and key performance indicators for leadership review.

 

This position will be responsible for and must be able to:

 

Technical Support - 80%

Leads the collection of Critical Data Elements (CDEs) in CMMSLeads collection of manufacturer documentation and cybersecurity recommendationsLeads risk assessment of assets based on collected CDEs and documentationOversees out of the box configuration of medical devices to expected standardsLeads the planned vulnerability remediation, such as planned patching or upgradesLeads the unplanned vulnerability remediation, such as response to zero-day threatsLeads the coordination of cybersecurity activities with device manufacturers as neededLeads the testing and validation of network segmentation rules in coordination with hospital ITSupports a range of IT projects that have implications for medical devices on the network

Program Support - 10%

Leads the investigation of alerts on medical devices in the hospital and clinicsLeads analysis and development of recommendations for response to high/critical vulnerabilitiesLeads the tracking and reporting of vulnerability remediation activitiesIdentifies opportunities for improvement in cybersecurity practices for HTM and ITOversees quality control for cybersecurity data and documentation in CMMS

Training - 5%

Support HTM cybersecurity education & awareness for HTM teamsCoaches BMETs on basic cybersecurity hygiene and out of the box controlsParticipates in industry cybersecurity workgroups and forums as representative of SodexoCompletes mandatory technical and non-technical training

Regulatory and Compliance - 5%

Advises on hospital audits involving cybersecurity, including HIPAA and Joint CommissionAdvises on enterprise cybersecurity audits in alignment with enterprise leadership What You'll Do ensure all medical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner;repair, maintain and calibrate medical biomed and imaging devices;  in a hospital or healthcare setting;ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices. What You Bring experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices in a hospital or healthcare setting;ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices; excellent communication, customer service and time management skills; specific experience with the following medical devices or equipment:  sterilizers, vents, dialysis, pumps, anesthesia, monitors, general biomedical equipmentcertification as a Biomedical Technician (CBET). specific experience with the following medical devices or equipment: DiCom, Siemens, Toshiba, Philips, GE Healthcare, XRay, Ultrasound, C-Arm, Cat Scan, MRI/CT, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine, Wet or Dry Processor, General RF, Clinical Asset Management, Accelerators. Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
