We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced BMT/HCT/IEC Nurse Coordinator. As the BMT/HCT/IEC Nurse Coordinator, you will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and schedulers to coordinate the patients transplant journey. You will collaborate with outside entities to obtain information, documentation, and data required prior to patient’s transplant. The nurse coordinator will provide patient education from the beginning through post-transplant. This opportunity is designated for full-time (5 shifts per week, Monday-Friday), 8-hour shifts, and day shifts.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Utilizes the City of Hope nursing process in clinical practiceCoordinate all aspects of the Bone Marrow Transplant programCollaborate with interdisciplinary team, patients, and outside entities to obtain required documentation and dataProvide care for bone marrow transplant and hematology-oncology populationsDevelops and or presents educational programs for patients, significant other, and staff related to specific program or departmental needs.Attends and participates in meetings as required.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Nursing is requiredThree (3) to Five (5) years of recent oncology experienceCurrent California RN licenseBasic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card through American Heart AssociationChemotherapy/bio certification Previous transplant experience is highly preferredCity of Hope employees pay is based on the following criteria: work experience, qualifications, and work location.
