The role of the Board Certified Internal Medicine Consultant is a multifaceted role with two primary objectives: 1) Provide written and phone consultations to SVP veterinarians to cover diagnostic testing and treatment options on more advanced cases 2) Provide internal continuing education to expand veterinarians knowledge and confidence in treating patients. This is a remote position. Description Offers specialty consults and provides medical guidance for General Practitioners on complex cases Develop and Deliver RACE approved CE content for General Practitioners to improve the level of care at our general practice hospitals Refer patients to other specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate. Document patient recommendations, diagnosis, treatment, etc. within the consult system Provide excellent bedside manner and communication skills remotely. A collaborative, service oriented approach as well as the ability to work independently Requirements Currently licensed in at least one U.S. state. Board Certified in Internal Medicine Extensive clinical experience working as a clinician in an Internal Medicine Service or Academic Institution Federal DEA Certification; Medical Specialty License or Certification Ability to navigate technology, EMR and consult software.
