Board Liaison Manager

Board Liaison Manager – Salary circa £75000  

Are you someone who is highly an organised individual with board support experience, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of corporate governance. This new and pivotal position involves managing a team of five to ensure high standards and consistency across all board activities. The manager will develop and implement an operational plan to effectively support each board and its directors, thriving in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. A bit about the job: 

As the Board Liaison Manager, reporting to the Head of Subsidiary Governance & Operations, you will ensure the seamless delivery of all board and meeting management aspects with high professionalism and accuracy. Acting as a liaison between non-executive directors (NEDs), executives, and other stakeholders, you will oversee the organization of board meetings, offsites, and strategy sessions. You will lead and inspire a dedicated team, mentoring them to deliver exceptional board support. 

Your leadership will foster a cohesive and motivated team, maintaining high standards of board governance. Additional responsibilities include managing the NED engagement agenda, director's induction process, capability and skills assessments, and ongoing training. 

Skills and experience we’re looking for: 

Strong and credible experience in engaging and managing senior stakeholders, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven experience in a corporate secretarial or governance role. Ideally within, or leading, a centralised board support team An experienced leader, with the ability to deliver effectively through a team A thorough understanding of best practice corporate governance frameworks, practices, and relevant legislation In-depth working knowledge of Diligent Board books (or equivalent board portal)
