Team Overview:
US Fund Board Governance is a member of the Global Accounting and Product Services (GAAPS) group within Technology & Operations and is seeking an Analyst to join the team, based in Princeton, NJ. The team has responsibility for the governance structure supporting 700+ funds, assets totaling over $3tn in AUM, across fifteen distinct fund boards.
The Board Management Analyst role requires a skilled professional who will develop, review and deliver board materials required under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and other regulatory regimes, special/annual presentations and approval process for co-investments. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, flexible and strives to succeed both as an individual and as a strong teammate. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, innovation, flexibility and ability to meet deadlines. The position requires strong process design skills, the ability to work collaboratively with other essential teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver superior client service to the Boards of Directors and internal BlackRock partners with regard to Board meetings and related materials
Develop, monitor and review Board materials to ensure complete accuracy, and clear and concise messaging to the Boards of Directors
Coordinate and schedule meetings, events, logistics, and handle Board production timelines
Respond to inquiries and verify the accuracy of board material information
Coordinate materials, communications, meeting organization and approval process for co-investments that are presented to the Boards
Handle assignments of all levels that range from administrative to special projects involving internal and external BlackRock partners
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple concurrent assignments, with a high degree of accuracy, and meet deliverables with minimal direction in a high pressure environment
Strong organizational, analytical, communication and proofreading skills
Ability to independently work and show strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Proactively find opportunities to optimize current reporting and develop innovative ways and improvements
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Power Point. Word, Adobe Acrobat and Excel, with technical & AI skills as a plus
Knowledge of board governance activities, including familiarity with Board and Committee (Compliance, Audit, Performance, Governance & Nominating) materials is helpful
Strong technical abilities and the aim to learn new systems
Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of industry related experience preferred
