We are a twelve doctor Veterinary practice with an amazing reputation in Barrie and beyond - some of our clients travel to us from as far as Sudbury! Our team is actively involved in fundraising and working with The Global Alliance for Animals and People in Canada, Central America and the Caribbean. We collect food for the Barrie Food Bank, and work with numerous rescue organizations. We are registered as a Cat Friendly Practice and our staff are trained in Fear Free handling. We are also AAHA and CVO accredited and strive to provide high-quality care. Our team prides itself in providing outstanding care to our patients and clients. We are looking for an amazing Boarding Department Supervisor who can thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day there is something new to learn and something fluffy to cuddle!
The Boarding Department operates 365 days a year, so this position involves evening, weekend and holiday shifts. The candidate should possess experience in supervision, coaching, animal care, customer service, and sales. Proficiency with technology, computers, software applications, phone systems. First-aid certified is an asset.
This position involves:
Providing excellent customer service to all clients and exceptional patient care to our guests Coaching a staff of 8 to 10 full and part-time employees Managing workflow for all boarding employees, coordinating boarding staff scheduling & meetings Identifying operational issues and suggesting creative improvements Monitoring and evaluating employee performance, providing learning and coaching opportunities, taking corrective action if necessary Ensuring employees comply with the clinic objectives, performance standards and policies Preparing reports and analyzing data to assist leadership to determine boarding department goalsWe offer a competitive wage, extensive benefits program, uniform allowance and the chance to grow!
