Summary This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Responsibilities You will perform boatbuilding repairs, maintenance, major overhaul and renovations, from measurements given in docking plans. You will works with vinylester and epoxy resin systems, inside of and outside of a climate controlled atmosphere You will set up, operate and maintain various types of woodworking machinery such as bandsaws, jigsaws, planers, joiners, molders, mortisers, tenorers, and sanders. You will perform repair to aluminum boats such as fabricating, assembling, fitting and installing light aluminum and/or stainless-steel parts. You will assist with the performance of lifting various sail or power craft in or out of the water with a 75 or 300 ton travel lift.
