**Description** Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Summer Intern to join our Corporate Social Responsibility and Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation (Boehringer Cares) team located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain experience in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Foundations, helping to serve the communities in which we live and work by furthering the three goals of Boehringer Cares: Improve access to healthcare, enhance STEM education, and strengthen the human-animal bond. This position offers an hourly rate of $20.00 - $33.00 USD commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled. For an overview of our benefits please click here (https://www.boehringer-ingelheim.com/us/careers/benefits-rewards) . **Duties & Responsibilities** + Assist in the management of Boehringer Cares programs + Monitor program service metrics to ensure effective program management and employee engagement + Lead and organize employee volunteering events + Review program reporting for Boehringer Cares Board/Sustainable Development/management discussion as appropriate + Participate in meetings and conference calls with program vendors and nonprofit organizations focused on program effectiveness, resourcing, budget, and opportunities for improvement + Assist in managing program webpage and other internal and external facing educational resources; recommend innovations to better serve our stakeholders + Prepare summaries/slides for and participate in Boehringer Cares leadership meetings, as appropriate + Participate in other programs (e.g. Grants, Charitable and Philanthropic Giving, Product Donations, Patient Assistance Program, Disaster Relief, Matching Gifts) to meet team needs **Requirements** Requirements: • Must be a current undergraduate, graduate, or advanced degree student in good academic standing • Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship • Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred • Major or minor in related field of internship (e.g. Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability, Public Relations, MBA) • Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university • Graduate and Advanced Degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities: • Strategic thinking, innovation, entrepreneurship, continuous improvement • Teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving • Proficiency in analytics, digital technology (Microsoft Office) • Strong communications skills • Leadership and decision-making skills • Drive for social impact and community engagement Eligibility Requirements: • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required) • Must be 18 years of age or older **Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities** Who We Are: At Boehringer Ingelheim we create value through innovation with one clear goal: to improve the lives of patients.
