Boiler Operator, Port Angeles, Washington
Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Boiler Operator in Port Angeles. Starting rate for this position is $26.22 to 32.34 per hour based on skill level and experience.
What You’ll Do
Perform rounds of silo, boiler & kiln areas, inspecting operating systems, equipment, machinery, bins & various components of operation; document all activity, conditions, & issues. Ensure the proper chemical mix is achieved daily. Operate forklift to change out kilns, load kiln carts when needed & empty bins. Perform soot blow, bottom blows & low water test procedures. Perform grate rakes. Maintain & repair equipment within capabilities. Monitor & control opacity emissions & document & report excessive emissions as required. Monitor kiln schedules, & inspect charges prior to loading in the kiln. Load & unload kiln charges in a safe & timely manner. Perform hot check when needed following established procedures. Perform kiln inspections & steam tests; make repairs within capabilities and report issues. Monitor silo & hog bin levels; feed/hog-watch as required. Grease kiln carts each shift. Dump ash bins and follow TSA associated with ash. Must be able to work any shifts and holidays as required. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.What You Offer
