Job Title: Boiler Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Boiler Operator with experience in logging readings, inspecting worksites, and providing exceptional customer service across different campus locations. The Boiler Operator will be responsible for the visual safety inspection of the area, documentation of pressure and temperature, and recording data in log books and log sheets.

ResponsibilitiesConduct visual safety inspections of boiler areas.Document pressure and temperature readings.Record data in log books and log sheets.Inspect worksites for potential problems.Provide excellent customer service while visiting different sites on campus.Essential SkillsExperience with boiler maintenance and operations.Ability to monitor boiler functions.Proficiency in performing preventive maintenance on boilers and compressors.Mechanical aptitude.Possession of a Blue Seal.Additional Skills & QualificationsNJ Blue Seal Boiler License

Work Environment

This position is within a multi-city university that never closes. Employees of the facilities department are considered essential and play a crucial role in keeping the university operational at all times.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
