DESCRIPTION
The Graduate Assistant for the Belmont Office of Leadership Development (BOLD) seeks to focus on the professional and personal development of the candidate, while creating tangible results for the specific areas of the Division of Student Affairs in which the individual is working. The position reports directly to the Assistant Dean and Director of Leadership Development and collaborates with various offices across campus. The Graduate Assistant will work 20 hours a week from August to May and serve as a para-professional in BOLD. Regular evaluation will be provided to the Graduate Assistant by the direct supervisor related to the work progress and personal performance.
POSITION PURPOSE
The primary purpose of this position is for the graduate assistant (GA) to assist and support the Assistant Dean and Director of Leadership Development of BOLD in overseeing all aspects of the Belmont Office of Leadership Development programs, activities and assessment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide general administrative support to BOLD.Assist with the daily input, maintenance, and upkeep of co-curricular transcript data and reports within the Bruin Link database and BOLD website.Provide student, faculty, and staff support in regards to tracking campus-wide leadership development opportunities and progress within Bruin Link.Assist with the planning and implementation of all BOLD opportunities including but not limited to training, convocation, conferences, workshops, and student mentoring. Assist with the creation and distribution of BOLD marketing materials, and web/graphic design (preferred but not required). Attend and provide support for the execution of evening and weekend workshops, conferences, and events.The above statements describe the job’s essential responsibilities and requirements.
