Job Summary: The BOM Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining the Bill of Materials (BOM) for all products. This role ensures that all BOMs are accurate, up-to-date, and reflect the latest engineering changes. The BOM Coordinator works closely with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Create, update, and maintain BOMs for all products.
+ Ensure BOM accuracy by verifying part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and other relevant details.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to incorporate design changes into BOMs.
+ Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure BOMs align with manufacturing and purchasing requirements.
+ Manage BOM revisions and ensure proper documentation of changes.
+ Conduct regular audits of BOMs to identify and correct discrepancies.
+ Assist in the development and implementation of BOM management processes and tools.
+ Provide training and support to team members on BOM-related processes and systems.
+ Generate BOM reports and metrics for management review.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred HS Diploma required.
+ 2+ years of experience in BOM management or a similar role.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Proficiency in BOM management software and ERP systems.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with AS400, SAP, JDE, or related software.
+ Experience with MS Excel.
+ Certification in Supply Chain Management or related field.
+ Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
