Mission of the Role: The Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing technologies related to manufacturing processes. This role involves managing the production planning of industrial equipment, ensuring the standardization of processes and driving improvements in equipment efficiency.

Key Responsabilities:

Align the product development process with design teams to reduce manufacturing costs and improve equipment performance. Collaborate with design teams in development and with suppliers in production to implement new technologies. Prototype Production Planning and Management Plan and manage prototype production activities to meet project schedules and specifications. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful prototype builds. Develop and monitor equipment prototypes in sharing with suppliers to support the production and technological advancement of products. Standardization of processes worldwide: Develop and implement processes at global manufacturing sites. Create detailed process documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, and training materials. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Encourage and disseminate technologies in order to contribute to global standardization Process Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness. Find technological solutions aligned with market directions, always in continuous development Lead continuous improvement initiatives and provide training to production staff on best practices. Local and remote support for global production lines.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

Degree in Industrial Automation Engineering, or related areas. 5+ years of experience in an Automation engineering role. (Preference in automotive industry) Strong knowledge of 2D/3D machine vision technologies (Cognex preferred). Strong knowledge of PLC (Allen Bradley preferred). Knowledge of robotics (ABB and Kuka preferred). Integration and knowledge of the industrial automation market. Experience in project management planning. Proven ability to standardize processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g. CAD, MS Office, etc.). Preferred qualifications: Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification. Experience in a global manufacturing environment. Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to the automotive industry.
