Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract-to-permanent basis. In this role, you will handle key financial operations, including account reconciliation, payroll, and tax-related tasks, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. This position is based in Maitland, Florida, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and meticulous services environment. Responsibilities: • Perform accurate account reconciliations, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved promptly. • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely payments and collections. • Reconcile bank statements and maintain up-to-date financial records. • Prepare and post journal entries, including adjusting entries, to the general ledger. • Generate and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Process payroll for clients, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. • Handle sales tax filings and ensure timely submission of payments. • Utilize QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop to manage bookkeeping tasks efficiently. • Assist with month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is up to date. • Support the preparation of tax returns by maintaining organized and accurate financial documentation. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role. • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. • Demonstrated expertise in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. • Familiarity with general ledger accounting and journal entries. • Experience with payroll processing and sales tax reporting. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
