Kforce's Hartford, CT company that is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support the company's financial operations and ensure accuracy in day-to-day accounting activities. This role is responsible for maintaining organized financial records, processing transactions, and providing timely reports that contribute to effective business decision-making.
Responsibilities:
* Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and tracking outstanding balances
* The Bookkeeper will record all financial transactions-income, expenses, and adjustments-with precision and completeness in the accounting system
* Organize and maintain financial documents, ledgers, and digital records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and easy accessibility
* Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
* Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, offering clear insights into the company's financial position
* The Bookkeeper will assist with preparing documentation and reports for tax filings, collaborating with accountants or external tax professionals as needed
* Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and contribute to process improvements that strengthen internal controls and efficiency
