Description Overview: Our client, a reputable company in the Albany area, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This position is essential to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial records and supporting overall business operations. This is a contract to hire position. Key Responsibilities: + Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. + Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial discrepancies. + Prepare financial reports and summaries for management. + Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely tax payments. + Manage invoices, track expenses, and oversee vendor payments. + Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards. + Collaborate with the team to improve accounting processes and systems. Requirements Qualifications: + Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar). + Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. + Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
