Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Macon, Georgia. The selected candidate will be part of a team in the finance industry, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial records and transactions. Responsibilities: • Accurately process accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Conduct account reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy. • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and perform routine audits to verify the accuracy of the records. • Handle payroll activities and ensure employees are paid in a timely manner. • Use QuickBooks for financial management and reporting. • Perform bank reconciliations to confirm all transactions align with bank statements. • Maintain grant accounting records and ensure all grants are accounted for correctly. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role. • Proficient in account reconciliation processes. • Demonstrated experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP). • Proven experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR). • Solid understanding of bank reconciliation activities. • Extensive knowledge of bookkeeping practices and principles. • Experience in processing payroll. • Proficiency in QuickBooks software. • Familiarity with grant accounting is a plus.
