Description We are in search of a Bookkeeper to be a part of our team based in FOREST PARK, Illinois, United States. The job function revolves around managing financial processes, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, payroll, and organizing financial records. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Effectively handling bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy and quickly rectifying any discrepancies • Processing accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently • Managing weekly check runs to ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner • Overseeing payroll functions, accommodating seasonal fluctuations in employee numbers • Keeping up-to-date physical and digital filing for records, utilizing a shared drive for efficient access and compliance • Cross-training on accounts receivable/billing tasks to provide support to the in-house team when necessary • Assisting in the transition towards a more online and documented financial environment • Preparing and filing monthly Illinois sales tax documentation as required • Maintaining compliance with non-unionized payroll practices for all Illinois-based employees • Providing backup support and performing ad hoc administrative and bookkeeping tasks as needed. The hourly pay range for this position is $23 to $30/hour. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Bookkeeper role or similar position • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation processes • Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency • Strong background in Bookkeeping practices and principles • Able to perform Data Entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas and pivot tables • Experience with Month End Close procedures and reporting • Knowledge of Payroll processes and regulations • Proficiency in QuickBooks software for financial management and reporting • Experience with Filing systems and maintaining organized records Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
