Description Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Part-Time Administrative Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our CPA firm. This role involves supporting the daily operations of the office by handling a variety of administrative tasks, including document management, data entry, and basic bookkeeping duties. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks and a keen eye for detail to ensure the accuracy of financial data. Key Responsibilities: Administrative Support: Scan, file, and organize important documents (both physical and digital) to ensure efficient office management. Perform general office duties such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and assisting with client inquiries. Manage office supplies and ensure the office space is organized and presentable. Assist in preparing reports, letters, and other documents as requested by CPA staff. Bookkeeping: Enter financial data into QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of transactions. Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate record-keeping of financial transactions. Assist with preparing monthly financial statements and basic reports. Help track accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections. Additional Duties: Assist with client communication and coordination as needed. Provide support with any special projects as directed by CPA staff. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies regarding client information. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Prior experience in administrative tasks or bookkeeping, particularly with QuickBooks, is required. Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and other office software. Experience in a CPA firm or accounting environment is a plus but not required. Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
