Description We are inviting applications for the role of Bookkeeper based in Newport Beach, California. The selected candidate will be a part of our team operating in the wholesale building materials industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage financial records, process customer transactions, and handle other related responsibilities. Responsibilities • Handle data entry tasks with precision and efficiency • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable • Oversee the process of account reconciliation • Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure financial accuracy • Handle bookkeeping duties to maintain accurate financial records • Use Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks and reporting • Handle month-end close procedures accurately and within deadlines • Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner • Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks • Leverage QuickBooks Online for efficient online accounting • Coordinate deliveries and communicate with customers for payments prior to delivery • Ensure the security, integrity, and confidentiality of data • Answer phones and assist customers as required • Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory • Receive customers as they arrive and connect them with a salesperson. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately and timely recorded • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP), including processing payments and reconciling invoices • Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR), including maintaining accurate records of incoming payments • Demonstrated ability in Bank Reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in financial records • Extensive knowledge in Bookkeeping practices, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records • Proficiency in Data Entry, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and maintained • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, capable of creating and managing financial spreadsheets • Experience in Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled at the end of each month • Familiarity with Payroll processes, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time • Proficiency in QuickBooks, using the software to manage and maintain financial records • Knowledge of Quickbooks Online, demonstrating the ability to use cloud-based accounting software effectively.
