Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the financial industry for a Bookkeeper based in Cheverly, Maryland. As a Bookkeeper, your primary function will be to manage, record, and organize the daily financial transactions of our organization, ensuring our financial records are compliant, current and accurate. Responsibilities • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. • Regularly perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. • Prepare basic financial reports to support the accounting team. • Carry out data entry tasks and maintain updated records. • Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data. • Perform month-end close procedures to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable duties. • Execute bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting and record-keeping. • Manage payroll processes, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. • Employ Quickbooks Online for efficient and accurate financial management.
